About Beach Time Coaching

Beach Time Coaching is the course and coaching organization founded by life coach Karyn Beach. More than a play on Karyn’s last name, Beach Time is a philosophy. Who doesn’t have fun at the beach? It is fun. It is relaxing. It is beautiful, all of the things so many women don’t have in their day-to-day lives … but they should.

Beach Time is about taking charge of the one life we have to live so that it becomes more than work, obligations, responsibilities and chores. While all of those things are important, there should be more. There should be more of the things that make life worth living.

Beach Time courses reflect our mission. These are courses that are fun, interesting and designed to give you the tools you need to make the most of your life. Each course is created by Karyn who has worked as a professional course creator for 15 years. She uses her knowledge of instructional design and adult learning theory to create engaging and interactive courses.

I'M KARYN

Most would describe me as a Super Extrovert. You know one of those people who never meets a stranger, who will start a conversation with just about anyone.

I like to think I'm more than a Chatty Cathy. I hope that I am a person who inspires others to live a life of meaning and little, if any, regrets.

Whether creating a course (as a course creator) or working with a coaching client, professionalism is key. I hold myself to the highest standard in creating an experience that clients can learn from and enjoy.

MY STORY

I'm no stranger to change, I  actually started planning for it as a child. Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, I was over the snow before my age hit double-digits. Although I had a family of second (and soon to be third) generation Clevelanders, I knew that I would not be one of them.

After college graduation, I moved to Iowa for work. After a year, and the coldest winter ever, I found herself back in Cleveland (and still cold).

Yet I knew my travels weren't over. My next stop was Maryland. I stayed for 10 years. Dad pressured me to just buy a home, but I wasn't ready. My travels weren't over.

I ended up writing a script and I loved it. I loved it so much that I left Maryland for sunny Southern California. While out there, I actually made a short film (P.N.O.K. - Primary Next of Kin), featuring a performance by Danny Glover. Yet, that experience let me know that I wasn't cut out for Hollywood.

So, I left, I was Charlotte, NC-bound! And, finally, I felt at home. After using a lifetime of useless knowledge and winning $100,000 on Who Wants to be a Millionaire, I was able to put a downpayment on my house.

I loved Charlotte and planned on staying there but Love came for me, in the form of the man who is now my husband, Michael, a citizen of Ghana, West Africa.

It turns out my adventures weren't over after all. Now, my adventures continue in another country, across an ocean on another continent.
